Easter weekend is a celebration of Christian hope. There is so much about this life that is hard and painful, but what if there is more? What if beyond the darkness there is light? At Easter we rejoice in a hope that is stronger than the grave. We rejoice in Jesus, who has been raised. If you feel your need of hope, why not come and explore the true message of Easter. We would love to see you

Easter Sunday at The Globe Church – 5th April

Easter Sunday is when we celebrate the Risen King Jesus! We’ll be having a service full of celebration that we can have eternal life because Jesus defeated death. If that’s news to you, come along – everyone is invited to join us.

You might not have been to church before, so there’s some answers to questions that you might have below. Come as you are, whatever is going on in your life – church is a place for you. Especially at Easter!

Can I bring my children?

In our service there will be groups that you can bring your children along to, that are run by trained and DBS checked volunteers. You can leave your child if you want to (you will be asked to sign a consent form on the day) or you can stay in with your child.

We have two groups for children, Globe Minis and Globe Tinies. Minis is for children age 3 and up to Year 4 in school, and Tinies is for babies up to the age of 3. Minis and Tinies meet during the talk, but stay with you during the rest of the Carol Service.

How long will the services be?

The service will last about an hour and 20 minutes, so we’ll finish the service at around 5.30pm.

Will there be food?

After our service we’ll share a simple meal together! Standard dietary requirements like gluten free and vegan are catered for. Anything please ask our volunteers.

Accessibility

Our church venue is Ark Globe Academy, a secondary school with a large hall.

There is level wheelchair access to the school building which includes a lift to access the main hall. You can view what the venue looks like.

In our current venue, lighting is quite bright and direct. Those who are light sensitive may want to wear sunglasses. Large print Bibles are available.

The sound levels are quite high throughout the service too, you are welcome to wear ear defenders if that would help you.

If you are d/Deaf or hard of hearing, get in touch with us before the service, and we’ll work out how we best can help. We have an area of the church seating covered by a T-Loop system, our Welcome Team can point you in the right direction.

At the school there is a disabled toilet, to the right of the reception desk. This however isn’t a changing spaces bathroom.

If you’d like more information about the structure of the service, please let us know.
