The idea of God becoming human to save us just sounds complicated. But Hebrews tells us Jesus had to, if he was going to save us. He became like us in every way, the whole shebang. Why? So he could ‘get us’ as our understanding high priest and so he could free us from the fear of death by dying our truly human death for us. What a saviour!
