The book of Malachi ends with a group of people whose names are recorded in a scroll of remembrance. There are to be God’s treasured possession. The remnant among the unfaithful people. They are not better than everyone else, but they fear God. They take His word seriously and know they need mercy. And so God counts them as righteous.
