We have a gospel longing in our bones, to have something to raise us “above the black dirt” of life and death. Whatever we think can do that is our gospel. The gospel that Paul preached and the Corinthians stood on is the good news we all need. There is a man who went into the black dirt for us, there is a man who was raised above the black dirt and who can raise us too.
