Proverbs 24:26 says ‘An honest answer is like a kiss on the lips’. Criticism is hard, we don’t like it, but Paul is writing honestly to the church, calling them to repentance. He isn’t interested in making them like him. He is going to correct them when they go wrong… he’s going to speak truth.
