Our culture is talking a lot at the moment about things we’re not talking very much about. A few weeks ago the House of Commons was debating the issue of abortion and voted to decriminalise abortion up to birth. Later on that week, they were debating assisted dying, and passed a motion to set the wheels in motion to bring assisted dying into law in our country. Every week we hear of the small boats crossing the channel filled with desperate people seeking to make a new life in the UK. This is being talked about all the time. What do we say?
