‘The one who is forgiven much, loves much’. - Jesus’ words in Luke 7:47 have always stuck with me.
Life was messy growing up in a broken home in Essex. After failing school, I joined the army, then came out working as a nightclub bouncer with all the unhealthy relationships and addictions that life involves. Inevitably I hit rock bottom after 23 years of living for myself.
With nothing to lose, I tried church and heard the gospel. The issue was never whether I accepted Jesus, but whether He would accept me. His life, death and resurrection scream 'yes'! and now I can truly say 'I am forgiven much.'
By the Spirit's help, I 'love much'. I love telling others of the God who gave me new life. -
This love led me to serve at London City Mission for 11 years and study at London Seminary for 4 years. I've had countless opportunities to share Jesus' love in word and deed, inside and outside church buildings during this time. My heart now is to envision and equip others to do the same through God's word at The Globe Church. I'm married to my best friend Abi. We have three young children together and it's a joy to be part of a new church family after leaving the east end of London!
