Activities
For those coming to church, the welcome team are often the first people they will meet so we aim to greet them with a big smile, catch up with them and help them feel welcome.
As well as being friendly, we help steward people to sit together in a way that helps maximise use of the space but also encourages people to keep chatting with and welcoming one another.
How the team works
We use the ChurchSuite app to manage the rotas.
Each Sunday and at Globe Central there will be a small team on welcome. One team member will be outside at street level, the others will help direct people to and in the hall, welcoming them and helping people get seated.
Typical Commitment
The main welcoming happens each Sunday for 45 minutes before the service, and at the Globe Central meetings from 6:45pm on the first Wednesday of each month.
Joining the welcome team means serving roughly once a month.
You need to have been at Globe for 3 months before joining this team.
