Activities

We run three kids groups during the sermon section of our service. ‘Tinies’ is from 0–3, ‘Minis’ is for 4+ and ‘Buddies’ is a group tailored for those with additional needs.

This enables kids to engage with God’s word in a way that is age-appropriate, and it frees up their adults to sit through the talk.

How the team works

Each Sunday, there’s one leader and 1–2 helpers per kids group. The leaders are sent teaching material and prepare the story, game, craft, etc.

The helpers assist and support the leader in anyway they can during the session, 20 minutes before church they run the check in desk and help with set up.

Every team member will require an enhanced DBS check and will need to complete a safeguarding course, both of which the Church will organise. We manage the rota in ChurchSuite app.

There are also optional opportunities for team members to be paired with families through something called the ‘adopt-a-family’ scheme.

Typical Commitment

Once every 4 weeks, it’ll be 1hr during the Sunday service.

You need to have been at Globe for 6 months before joining this team. Group leaders need to be church members.
