Activities

Every other Monday, we run an event for people to come and practise their English with us. The team will meet at 7pm for set up and prayer. Guests are invited to come from 7:30–8:30pm.

One member of the team will have prepared a topic, e.g. British summertime, with some conversational aids to help people get talking. We’ll often try to end the evening with a simple, quick game.

Our hope is to build relationships, which can lead to discussions about Jesus and invitations to Church or other evangelistic events.

How the team works

Team members sign up for the evenings they can attend and volunteer to prepare the topic via a WhatsApp poll.

We try to have 5–8 team members at each evening.

We otherwise communicate via a WhatsApp group.

Typical Commitment

1 hr 30 on a Monday night, once or twice a month (it runs every fortnight).

You need to have been at Globe for at least three months before joining this team.
