Born and brought up in greater London, I became a Christian when I was 13. After hearing a cousin's conversion story I realised that my parents' faith was not my own and that I was rebelling against God. I vividly remember the joy of the afternoon in May, when I finally realised that though there was nothing that I could do myself to get right with God, I could ask Jesus to pay all of my debt.

God has been so good to me. Lots has happened since that day in May but I can really say that God has been with me and my family every step of the way. I've had the great privilege to work as a GP for a deprived multicultural community in Lewisham for the past 25 years. This is rewarding, challenging work that lets me see much of the highs and lows of life. Relaxing for me involves cycling our tandem, DIY or watching Arsenal with my children.

One of the many things I love about The Globe Church is that it is a vibrant multicultural community. We have the privilege to meet a large number of people who are new to London. I am part of the welcome team which seeks to help people quickly feel part of our church family.
